one of the first times I saw the Jazz Messengers, up at Mikhail's in Harlem, he introduced a 16 year old trumpet player, Wynton Marsalis. Went to see them at the Village Vanguard, and needed to pee before the show. That was the first time I realized Art smoked a joint before every show. We became good friends after that, smoking weed in clubs and lifts all over NYC. I'm still down in Ecuador, but listen to you and fmu every chance that I'm at home
